About Airah's Experience!
Hi everyone! It’s Airah, one of Pearl Lemon’s Video Content Creator! I do TikTok, youtube, youtube shorts, and Instagram reel videos. I was introduced to Pearl Lemon by one of my classmates. And now, I’m already working here for 3 months, and still ongoing! It was one of the best decisions that I made.
At first, I was curious if I could work in this setup. It was my first official job; everything felt like pressure, and there were too many expectations. I told myself that I should try and do my best.
There’s no harm in trying, right? Well, of course, you should choose to try what will make you grow not only as a better person but also as a professional. That’s how I managed to become who I am today. The recruitment process was very smooth, everyone was amiable, and even though I was the first Tiktok Content Creator, many people helped me along the way. Our CEO, Dee, was also very hands-on! That is what I like about this company, everybody can be involved, and you can always talk to anyone whenever you have a problem or a suggestion.
Three months. It was a short time but a long journey for me. In the first month, I adjusted only to my level of expertise. I am not a professional video editor or social media content creator, but I know that I am the type of person who doesn’t stop until I have tried my full best! Believe it or not, I even cried during the first week of my job. I didn’t know where to start, so I couldn’t finish anything. Thankfully, people at work gave me time to adjust. Also, Thanks to Kamran and Deseree, who helped me along the way. There were times that I was stuck and had mental blocks, but they taught me things I would bring with me wherever I went. On how I should look at all things, at all resources. Looking beyond the line, your comfort zone, and your point of view is essential.
Working here at Pearl Lemon has opened so many opportunities for me because I learned a lot of things, and I know I can understand and improve more. Even though there were times when quitting was an option for me, I still chose to stay. Because if something is making you grow, the struggle is always worth it.
