Do you have a passion for storytelling through video? Are you curious, creative, and always looking to make your next edit more engaging than the last? At Pearl Lemon, we’re looking for a Video Editor Intern who’s not just great with cuts and transitions, but is also eager to collaborate, grow, and help shape content that truly resonates.
This is your chance to work with a globally distributed team and build real-world experience editing content for YouTube, TikTok, Instagram, podcasts, and client campaigns. If you’re motivated, open to feedback, and excited to be part of a fast-moving creative environment—this role is for you.
Note: This is a voluntary internship lasting 3 months. Exceptional performance may lead to a full-time, paid role, but placement is not guaranteed.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Edit short- and long-form video content for social media, marketing campaigns, and internal use
- Enhance footage using music, subtitles, transitions, and visual effects
- Work closely with content creators, marketers, and designers to turn ideas into compelling videos
- Organize and manage video files and assets in a clear, efficient way
- Receive and apply feedback to continually improve your work and editing style

Bonus: Experience with editing tools like CapCut, Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or DaVinci Resolve is great—but we care most about your mindset and creativity.

Learning & Development Opportunities – Video Editor Intern
Hands-On Editing Across Formats
- Edit real-world content for YouTube, TikTok, Instagram Reels, Shorts, and long-form podcasts
- Work on diverse projects including tutorials, interviews, vlogs, ads, and corporate content
- Gain experience creating videos for different audience intents (education, sales, brand awareness)
Platform-Specific Optimization
- Learn how to format content for vertical (TikTok, Reels), horizontal (YouTube), and square (Facebook/LinkedIn)
- Understand algorithm triggers—like watch time, hooks, and viewer retention—and how editing impacts them
Use of Industry-Standard Software
- Deepen your skills in CapCut, Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or DaVinci Resolve
- Get familiar with tools for motion graphics (After Effects, Canva Pro), subtitles (Descript, VEED), and audio syncing
Creative Storytelling
- Learn how to tell stories visually, maintain pacing, and create emotional impact
- Discover how to craft attention-grabbing intros and compelling narrative arcs
- Understand how sound design, transitions, and b-roll elevate production quality
Working with Brand Guidelines
- Edit content that maintains consistency with brand identity, tone, and voice
- Learn how to integrate logos, lower thirds, and calls to action effectively
Feedback & Revision Workflow
- Receive real-time critiques from content leads, marketers, and fellow editors
- Learn to handle constructive feedback professionally and revise quickly
- Improve editing speed and accuracy under deadline conditions
Collaborative Content Production
- Work with marketers, copywriters, designers, and other editors in a distributed team
- Join remote brainstorming sessions and contribute to campaign ideas
- Understand the full video pipeline—from concept to final upload
Remote Workflow Mastery
- Gain experience in managing cloud-based asset libraries (Google Drive, Dropbox)
- Communicate asynchronously via Slack, Trello, and Loom

Color Correction & Grading
- Adjusting brightness, contrast, white balance, and saturation
- Matching tones across clips for professional consistency
Subtitles & Accessibility
- Adding captions and subtitles using Descript, VEED, or manual methods
- Formatting text for readability and visual balance
Branding & Design Integration
- Editing within brand guidelines (colors, fonts, logos)
- Integrating calls to action and marketing messages in a natural, engaging way
Project Management
- Organizing raw footage, working with version control, and meeting deadlines
- Using tools like Trello, Notion, Google Drive for remote workflow management


Team Collaboration
- Working with creative, content, and marketing teams to align on deliverables
- Taking direction, implementing feedback, and contributing to larger campaigns
Remote Work Competency
- Communicating clearly via Slack, Loom, and email
- Managing time effectively in a self-directed, results-oriented environment
