It’s the end of another week.

And the world’s gone crazy again.

Donald Trump has just tested positive for Coronavirus and my county has been put under local lockdown.

Nobody is supposed to leave or enter the Vale of Glamorgan.

This means that I can’t see my friends who live in Cardiff, or go visit my girlfriend, or go to my boxing class.

And to top it all off, IT’S POURING WITH RAIN.

It’s definitely not ideal.

In other news, I’ve got a new set of post-it notes. So it’s not all bad.

One week from now will be my final day at Pearl Lemon.

It’s crazy to see how many more partners have been taken on since I joined 4 months ago…

In my first weekly team call, I think it was only about 5 or 6 of us. This week, I think there’s supposed to be 25 of us. It’s been great seeing Pearl Lemon grow and I’ll definitely continue keeping updated with how Pearl Lemon is developing when I’ve finished my partnership. Who knows? Pearl Lemon could be a household name 10 years from now.

I’m also particularly excited to see how Plant Sumo develops and if it “takes off” as a business. It’s not the most ideal time (economy wise) to be starting a new business but it definitely has potential to do well. Let’s just wait and see!

I’ll have some final finishing tasks to do (end of partnership blog, end of partnership video etc) but other than that, it should be a pretty normal week next week.

I asked Deepak if I could do a technical SEO audit of the Plant Sumo website so I hope I can get that done before I finish! I’ve been learning about technical SEO audits in my spare time and I’m excited doing a full one for Plant Sumo. I’ll be using tools like Google Search Console and Google Analytics to find actionable changes that can be made to improve the website’s ranking in organic search. I’ll be examing the crawlability, indexability, site speed and much more!

One big task that I’ve been doing this week has been directory listing of the Pearl Lemon sites. Being completely honest, it’s not the most interesting task, but I’ve definitely become more efficient at it.

Dee initially said that we had to around 50 directory listings finished by the end of the month.

I’m not going to lie, that high number intimidated me and I felt like I couldn’t reach it.

As soon as he said instead that I should get 5 listings done per day (with Akhila), that broke down the big task into manageable chunks.

I guess it’s made me realise that sometimes, massive tasks can seem intimidating if you look at the overall goal. However, if you break down the massive task into bite sized bits, it becomes much easier to accomplish. That’s my thought for the day haha.

Anyway, that’s all for this week.
