Hi,

I hope you’re all staying safe now that things seem to get worse again because of the global pandemic.

Since summer ended, I feel like I have been quarantined again as I barely went out of my house. Despite this, I feel very lucky to live in the countryside, have a garden where I can relax and have a few remote jobs which allow me to do the experiences I want and challenge myself every day.

These jobs keep me busy for most of my day, so it’s not as easy as it seems to enjoy all the rest around me. That’s why I’ve started forcing myself to have a better work/life balance and avoid the bad headaches. I’ve found out I am not the only one struggling with this, so this is a general reminder to anyone who will read my weekly blog post. Resting properly is just as important as working effectively. In fact, you cannot be much productive if you don’t have much energy.

To go back to my usual update, here is an overview of what I have been doing.

This week I have been involved in a lot of different activities. Here are some relevant examples I can remember:

I’ll leave the most important part out of this list which could be way longer.

As mentioned before, I am planning on leaving HR at Pearl Lemon little by little to take on a new big project. This is called Pearl Lemon Academy and chances are that I will have a more important role in this new division. We’re starting to build everything these days so you will know for sure in the next weekly updates what Deepak, Yanie, Lokesh, and I are working on. In short, we are trying to build a real-world business academy which will give students the opportunity to learn by doing, that is Pearl Lemon’s speciality!

Among the things I’d like to improve next week, I’d love to finish building a course about HR and if possible, check a few old courses and update them when necessary.

There’s not much else to add to this weekly update, so I’ll leave you with a picture of me reading How To Win Friends And Influence People by Dale Canergie while my super black dog stares at me.

I have had this book for a long time but it was never the right time to read it. I feel like now I am more ready and open to hearing all these interesting suggestions. Hoping to make good use of them in my new projects!

‘Till the next update!

Ciao,

Federica
