Automation Intern

Hello, my name is Vivek Kumar, and I would be happy to tell you about my experience of working at Pearl Lemon as an Automation Intern for the last 2.5 months.

This internship has been a truly fulfilling experience where I got to learn, develop, and gain practical exposure to numerous automation and SaaS-based projects. Throughout this duration, I was fortunate enough to work with skilled people from different backgrounds — team members, team leaders, and managers — who all played a key role in my development and learning.

Being a member of a global team allowed me to develop my time management capabilities and accommodate working on various time zones. My team manager, Zain Saleem, has been an exceptional mentor and role model. I highly respect his leadership, problem-solving mindset, and ongoing support in helping me navigate challenging problems and projects.

Our founder, Deepak Sir, has been a source of inspiration with his firm work ethic, out-of-the-box thinking, and dedication to excellence. I also wish to mention Sourav Sir, our Head of Operations, for his ongoing support and guidance, and nida, who was instrumental in facilitating smooth coordination between teams like the Web Team and the Property Team. I want to thank all my co-workers that have been along for the ride with me — there are too many to count, but all of them have helped shape me in one way or another.

During my internship, I worked on a number of very interesting projects. I started by working on lead-based data tools like Lemon Lead Base, and then assisted in the creation of multiple Micro SaaS tools, including one of our biggest current projects.

One of the highlights of my experience was the UK Buy-to-Let Property Deal Analyzer, a math-intensive project that included intricate property calculations. Working with Charles, the Property Team Lead, I applied mathematical formulas in JavaScript to create in-depth property reports — and I’m glad this tool is being widely utilized by our clients today.

Further, I created LinkedIn automation bots that post and create content automatically using user-specific inputs like audience, description, and hashtags — simplifying the content creation process.

Presently, I’m working on one of our most ambitious projects, Lem Proposal, that automatically creates sales proposals from meeting transcriptions.
